Search for Google and YouTube in the Great Tech-political ad controversy

Twitter (TWTR) CEO Jack Dorsey was the first to the last week cheered, as he announced his company was going to get taking political ads all — probably a result of, and a further contribution to, the beats Facebook to. But this excitement turned soon into concern, as people noted, it could mean advocacy and activist groups may no longer be able to be advertising on the platform.

When President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign created the ad falsely accused the former Vice-President, Joe Biden, and corruption, for its role in the Ukraine-policy during the Obama administration, the current controversy over digital ads, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, all the it delivery.
The trump campaign spent to promote somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000, a YouTube video of the ad. The display was seen between 10 and 30 million times, according to Google political ad database.
A YouTube spokesperson told CNN Business the display to break their rules.
“We have no specific exemptions for political ads – all ads have to meet on our platform, with our ads policies, and all of the political ads that said, in our transparency report and in the Ads library,” the YouTube spokesperson.
The spokesman pointed to the Google-Ads’ policy, which apparently also for YouTube. A part of the policy reads, “We don’ T want users to feel misled by ads, so we strive to ensure that ads are clear and honest, and you give the information, the users need to make informed decisions. We do not allow advertising or objectives, the intention to deceive users through the exclusion of relevant information or misleading information about products, services or companies.”
CNN Business, said the YouTube spokesperson to explain several times why the wrong Trump ad attacking Biden to break these rules. The speaker did not answer.
The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday reported that Google is considering changing its policy. CNN Business Google has reached for a comment.
Facebook, perhaps because of its perceived ubiquity, it can remain in control. The company will often be/as a way to scrutinize, problems in Silicon Valley, going far beyond — or, in the views of some Facebook employees, as a scapegoat.
