iPhone 11 11 Pro vs. iPhone: the Main differences to help you decide what to buy – CNET

In September Apple announced, the iPhone 11, and 11 Per updates iPhone XR and XS, respectively. The new phones will have significantly cameras upgraded to build a extremely fast processor and overall a better quality. To top it all off, the iPhone 11, which starts at $699 (£729, AU$1,199), is $50 cheaper than the iPhone XR when it was first published.

Between the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, it can be difficult to figure out which one you should get. Both phones have the same processor, same major, ultrawide and selfie cameras, and iOS 13. On the one hand, the iPhone 11 the best values for a flagship phone that you can buy a today and many of the same 11 Pro features. On the other hand, the iPhone 11 Pro a couple of important additions that make it the best iPhone ever made. At $999 (£1,049, AU$1,749), starts it at $300 more than the iPhone 11.

For the last six months, I got the iPhone 11 as my daily driver and the 11 Pro as my work phone. I took many photos and videos with the new ultrawide-angle camera, pushed the A13 processor to its max edited with games and photo and researched everything it has to offer, iOS-13.

For most people, including myself, the iPhone 11 is more than enough, and if you can I would a step further, even paying $50 more for the 11 upgrade the memory from 64GB to 128GB. But here’s the wrinkle: the size. The iPhone 11 Pro is a bit smaller and lighter than the 11, which I personally love, and it could be the reason to Pro. (FYI, if it is slightly larger but with the longest battery life, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will be waiting there to fill your pocket and empty your Bank account.)

The iPhone 11 is Apple’s best mobile phone value for the price in the years to come. Following In the footsteps of last year’s iPhone XR, Apple smart, high-pitched, the 11 than the iPhone for most people. In spite of the lower resolution LCD screen, iPhone 11 has the same A13 processor and relatively the same camera setting (more on that later) than the more expensive 11 Pro. It also comes in six different colors, survived CNET’s drop and water tests and earned a CNET Editors’ Choice Award.

at the heart of the iPhone 11 Pro is a iPhone 11. But with upgrades such as a high-resolution OLED display with a matte glass finish and a stainless steel side band, it gets the VIP treatment. There is a third camera in the back in combination with Apple’s new Deep-Fusion-image processing, better zoomed photos takes. But probably the most welcomed upgrade to 11 Pro, how much longer is the battery life compared to the previous-generation iPhone XS. In fact, it takes 11 Pro almost as long on a charge as the 11.

The smaller iPhone was better

Perhaps the most obvious and most important reason to purchase the iPhone 11 the iPhone 11 is the size. They are very different phones and fit in your hands otherwise.

With a 5.8 inch screen and a weight of 6.63 G (188 grams), the iPhone 11 Pro is the smallest of the three iPhone 11 devices. The solid-feeling phone is easiest to use with one Hand. Weighing 6.84 ounces (194 G), the iPhone 11 is heavier than the 11 Pro, but not feel so tight. The iPhone 11 is 0.2 mm thicker than the 11 Pro, which makes it a bit clunky.

All the hands, and needs are different. I have big hands, but prefer the slim feel of the 11 Pro. But if you are willing to compromise a heavier weight for a larger screen, get the 11 and save $300.

For now, or until the Apple strong iPhone 9 (aka SE 2), the 11 Pro is the smallest of the new iPhones. I recommend taking into account the size of your current phone and how much to spend, you are ready.

winner: For its small size, the 11 Pro is the way to go me.

Tele-camera is nice to have

The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro-Max) the iPhone 11 is not a third-party Tele-camera. Sometimes it was nice, the change to the Tele-camera. And in comparison to the iPhone XS, the updated Tele-camera, combined with a Deep Fusion of the processing, I mean took photos with better image quality.

There were also times in which I have a shot framed better with the 11 Per Tele-camera as I could with the main camera. For example, if I have a top-down shot of a plate of food with the main camera, I could see the phone, the shadows on the plate. But when I switched to the Tele-camera and moved the phone higher from the table, there was no shadow.

There are a couple of comments about the iPhone 11 Pro telephoto camera although. If you night-mode photos at 2x the 11 Pro the Tele-camera use. Instead it takes a crop of the main wide-angle camera. Also, the Tele-camera in bright light, but if you I is photos, in medium-to-low-light, I noticed a better picture quality when the same photo with the main camera and cropped.

all in All, the telephoto lens is useful, at 11 Per, but I do not miss it, if I the 11. To zoom in when I needed to on a photo, a 2x crop of a photo I worked with the camera, so fine. I recommend to look at the photos enlarged on your current phone and see how many were taken and how many photos would look better had you been able to zoom in on something. If you have a lot of pictures where you wish you had a dedicated telephoto camera, then you should consider an iPhone 11 Pro.

for more on the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro-cameras, take a look at our following comparisons:

winner: The 11 Pro-telephoto lens-camera is a nice-to-have, if you value the iPhone photography, but it is certainly not necessary,

iPhone 11 Pro has a beautiful OLED display

The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch OLED screen, while the 11, a 6.1-inch LCD display. When I put the phones side-by-side, the screen on the 11 Pro-looked to me to be better, brighter and showed more detail. It is a joy to watch, videos and photos to edit.

The OLED screen on the 11 Pro supports HDR and contrast has the most ratio (the ratio of brightest and darkest colors on a display) of 2,000,000:1 compared to the 11 of 1400:1. On paper, this means that the iPhone 11 Pro is capable of darker black levels and more saturated color. That is, side-by-side, the differences between the two screens are sometimes difficult to notice. And, the colors on the iPhone 11 LCD precise and videos good

winner: The screen on the iPhone 11 is good, but the one that is on the 11 Pro is even better.

Cracked screens and sealing

We set both the iPhone and 11, and 11 Per by a test, where we threw at it from different heights. After dropping from the 3-foot, 6-feet and 8-feet from the ground, both phones survived without a single crack on your screens or glass back. The only flaw is a small scuff on the iPhone 11 aluminum band and a few damaged pixels on the bottom of the 11 Per screen.

as far as the water-resistance, these two phones are rated IP68. Apple claims the iPhone can hold 11 stand, sink can survive in a depth of 6.5 feet (2 meters) for up to 30 minutes and 11 Pro, with a maximum depth of 13 feet (4 meters) up to 30 minutes. However, in our water tests with an underwater drone, the 11 and 11 Pro have both survived the sinking for 30 minutes at 39 feet (11.9 m).

winner: tie; both on the iPhone than 11, and 11 Pro are some of the most durable phones that you can buy are, today,

color, equipment and tools

After six months of use without a case, the back does not have both the iPhone and 11, and 11 Per a single scratch or scratch resistance. The matte glass of a feel back to the iPhone 11 Pro a smooth d durable. The phone is easy to grip and never feels like it will slip out of your hand (although again, his smaller size helps). I am glad to say that the fingerprint accumulate stains easily.

The iPhone 11, now, a shiny glass back that feels smooth in my hand and the phone is prone to spots, to

as far As colors, get the iPhone 11 things more right than the 11 Per. You can buy an iPhone 11 in six bright and cheery colors. The 11 Pro is less noticeable and comes in four very serious versions (space gray, silver, gold, or midnight green.) In a perfect world, I would have the matte glass finish of the 11 Pro and the colour variations of the 11.

The iPhones have to charge wireless charging and support for fast, but only the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro-Max) comes with the 18-watt charger is needed for a quick recharge. It is not annoying that the 11 comes with this charger, and that you have to buy it separately if you want it. To make matters worse, Apple charges $29 (£29, AU$49), for the 18-watt fast charger and $19 (£19, AU$29) for the cable, if there are cheaper compatible alternatives are available.

winner: For the colors, alone, the iPhone 11, take this.
