Roborock

This story is part of the Holiday Gift Guide 2019, your source for the season, the best gifts and deals, hand-picked by the experts at CNET.

Earlier this year, I have remodeled my basement, and the resulting layer of crud is the perfect testing ground for the Roborock S5 — a robot vacuum cleaner, the mop. It did a great job overall, this is the reason to share why I’m enthusiastic about this deal: For a limited time and while supplies last, Amazon has the Roborock S5 2000Pa all floors vacuum for $359.99 with promo-code ROBOROCKBF. That’s $10 less than last week, and an all-time low. (Note that the photo above shows him in black; the offer is for the white one.)

I’ve heard that early-generation Roombas and late-model from Ecovacs, but the S5 is my favorite robot sweeper date. This is mainly because it seems, smarter, and more efficient than others I’ve tried.

The companion app, for example, offers a variety of cleaning options. You can zones and virtual barriers, no-go-zones go-only and so on. All of this is possible thanks to the S5-laser-mapping capabilities, which also allow to clean it, the trust in an orderly pattern, rather than just randomly all over the place.

The S5 offers 2000Pa value of suction (on the high side for robo-vacs) and has a substantial battery is good for about 2.5 hours after cleaning, after Roborock. This comes at the cost of the dust bin, is on the smaller side. Similarly, the water-tank networks, you only need about 30 minutes worth of wiping, before to be replenished. (Luckily, the approximately 800 square meters was enough time to clean my basement.)

CNET has not reviewed the S5, so I’m going to you to control, to Matthew Miller’s review on ZDNet. Conclusion: “A great artist at a price that is reasonable, given the performance, efficiency and benefits.” And that was based on a then-$464 price at Amazon. (It is currently $500, but has been as high as $600.) Speaking of Amazon, over 200 customers, the rating, a summary of the robot 4.4 out of 5 stars.

So, Yes, you may not know, the Roborock brand, but in my opinion, this is as good as some of the latest Roombas — with a much lower price.
