Amperity acquires Custora to improve its customer-data-platform

Amperity announced today that it is the acquisition of another company in the customer data business, Custora.

Amperity co-founder and CEO Kabir Shahani, told me that Custora’s technology complements what Amperity offers. To illustrate this point, he said that the customer data tools fall into three major buckets: “The first knowledge of your customers, the second is … you can use knowledge to make decisions, which is third … select the data, and use it to serve the customer.”

The products can still be used separately, but Custora CEO Corey Pierson together argues that, they are not particularly powerful.

“the more you actually know your customer, the more you have said to your customers-360-profile, the better these insights,” Pierson. “If we sit on top of Amperity, every insight we produce, is valuable for our customers.”

Shahani, said Pierson and the rest of the team will be joining Seattle-based Amperity, with Custora, a New York office is the company’s East coast headquarters.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Crunchbase, Custora previously, a total of $raised to € 20.3 million in the financing.
